Spotlights on...

IDW Publishing

Complete Chester Gould's Dick Tracy Vol. 06 HC
Description : Presenting the sixth volume of IDW Publishing's deluxe hardcover collection of Chester Gould's timeless comic strip, Dick Tracy! Volume Six contains over 500 comic strips from the series' early years, this time covering material that originally ran from July 1939 through January 1941. This volume includes an introduction by Max Allan Collins and other historical material

APE Entertainment

Subculture Vol. 01 SC
Description : At long last, the critically-acclaimed mini-series is collected! Join Jason, Arthur, Noel, and the entire Kingdom Comix gang through life, romance, and innumerable layers of geekdom! This book is packed with extras, including easter egg explanations, new pin-ups, and the first 24 strips of SubCulture's continuation as a twice-weekly webcomic!
Yeah !!

DISNEY PRESS

Wonderland HC
Description : Of all the unexplained curiosities deep in the classic tale Alice in Wonderland, perhaps the most perplexing might be who, exactly, is the Maryann for whom the White Rabbit mistakes Alice at the beginning of the story. Lewis Carroll first begged us to ponder this, and years later, Walt Disney again made viewers wonder who Maryann might be in his classic feature-length animated film based on Carroll's book. Now this age-old question is finally answered. In Wonderland, readers experience Alice's fantastic world as they've never seen it before! The Queen of Hearts is present, barking orders to lop off people's heads, as is the Cheshire Cat, the White Rabbit, the Mad Hatter, and the rest of Wonderland's beloved citizens. And there are some new faces, too, including the book's main protagonist, the mysterious Maryann herself!
Ce comic me plait beaucoup.

NIGHTLIGHT PRESS

Starslip Crisis Vol. 02
Description : The long-awaited second Starslip Crisis collection is here! This book picks up where Volume 1 left off, and runs all the way to the Spaceoholics Anonymous storyline. That's not all! Volume 2 also contains overhauled portions of the technical manual, including new material like expanded crew profiles, and Jinxlet and Cenobyss physiology! (See what Obdrath looks like beneath his dire cloak! It ain't pretty.)
Ce comic strip me plait bien.

Spotlights on...

 DC Comics

House of Mystery Vol. 01: Room and Boredom SC

Description : Welcome to the House of Mystery! Filled with peculiar, otherworldly characters from all walks of life, this series from Matthew Sturges (JACK OF FABLES) and Bill Willingham (FABLES) focuses on five people trapped in the reality-warping House of Mystery, a supernatural bar where tales are the legal tender and only the finest storytellers are patrons! But how - and why - they're stuck inside is all just a little piece of the puzzle in this first volume, which collects issues #1-5 of the all-new acclaimed series and special bonus material.

Showcase Presents: House of Mystery 1 SC
Description : A new printing of this volume collecting HOUSE OF MYSTERY #174-196!
Enfin !

Showcase Presents: House of Mystery Vol. 03
Description : DC Comics serves up another helping of horror in this amazing collection featuring tales from HOUSE OF MYSTERY #212-226! It's classic, bone-chilling intensity from the DC vaults!

Tales of the Batman: Tim Sale SC
Description : The collection of award-winning artist Tim Sale's various Batman stories is now presented in trade paperback! Collecting tales from SHOWCASE '94 #3-4, LEGENDS OF THE DARK KNIGHT #32-34, SHADOW OF THE BAT #7-9, SOLO #1 and BATMAN BLACK AND WHITE
Why not!

Saga of the Swamp Thing Book 01 HC

Description : Writer Alan Moore's seminal horror series is now published in hardcover for the very first time - including the never-before-reprinted SAGA OF THE SWAMP THING #20, in which Moore wraps up the previous storyline and sets the stage for the groundbreaking tales that were to come. Collecting SAGA OF THE SWAMP THING #20-27, this first volume features the stories that put Moore on the comics map in the 1980s thanks to his unique narrative style and deconstructive storytelling. Created by a freak accident, Swamp Thing believed he was once scientist Alec Holland - but when he discoveres his true nature, it shatters his universe and sends him on a path of discovery and adventure. Featuring the art of Stephen Bissette and John Totleben, this groundbreaking work features mind-blowing, genre-defying stories starring the rich, complex character that Neil Gaiman called "The No. 1 New Classic Monster" in Entertainment Weekly

DARK HORSE

LARRY MARDER’S BEANWORLD BOOK 1: WAHOOLAZUMA!

Description : Beanworld is a peculiar fantasy that operates under its own rules and laws. Series creator Larry Marder says, “Beanworld is about the affinity of life. It’s like A Bug’s Life meets Mutts, as told by Dr. Seuss and Joseph Campbell.” Meet Mr. Spook, Professor Garbanzo, Beanish, and the Chow Sol’jer Army as they experience adventures that prove, whether friends or adversaries, we all ultimately depend on each other for survival. Beanworld reflects deep truths about our world, including themes of ecology, advertising, culture, and art, making the experiences of these fanciful creatures feel as true, funny, moving, and relatable as anything in our own reality.
Voilà un livre qui devrait bien me plaire.

BEANWORLD HOLIDAY SPECIAL

Description : As enjoyable for children as it is enlightening for adults, Beanworld is a grand adventure that explores social dynamics, culture creation, and ecological networks—all in great fun! Take a tour of this magical world, from Proffy’s Fix-It Shop to a Fabulous Look-See Show, in this issue that introduces toys to the baby Cuties and plunges readers into one of the most original and brilliant comic-book universes ever created!
Je suis très intéressé par ce titre.

Image Comics

POPGUN, VOL. 1 OGN (NEW PRINTING)
Description : Featuring the work an all-star line-up that includes MIKE ALLRED, ERIK LARSEN, JOSEPH MICHAEL LINSNER, JIM MAHFOOD and more, POPGUN acts as the ultimate graphic mixtape by combining big name creators doing work fans never expected and an array of the industry's rising stars. The anthology crosses the protected borders of every genre, fulfilling the desires of anyone hungry for the pungent taste of creativity.

Oyez, oyez braves gens.

A vos crayons !

Comics_are_for_idiots_GN

Comics for Idiots: Blecky Yuckerella GN ($ 11.99. Creators: Johnny Ryan)

Description: AMERICA'S STUPIDEST SECOND-GRADER IS BACK! Sure, she's smelly and gross, but she's got a heart of gold! This is the third collection of Johnny Ryan's weekly comic strip, Blecky Yuckerella, as seen in the pages of the Vice magazine and elsewhere. Blecky is a four-panel gag strip in the tradition of Underworld, Maakies, and Nancy, but with much more generous portions of bodily fluids and toilet humor. Blecky Yuckerella is the ugliest girl in the second grade, and the only one with three-day stubble. The strip's cast of characters also includes Blecky's Aunt Jiggles, her best friend Wedgie, Insanio the Cat, and many other absurdist goofballs, like Rich Bucksley (millionaire and "high class idiot"), Unitard (the last retarded unicorn), the pregnant babies ("we're guaranteed to blow your mind!"), and Quasimodo Rose (the hunchback porn star). This book collects over 100 strips for the first time, and his unmistakable blend of politically incorrect gags and social satire is as sharp as ever.

>> Jetpack Press :

Fat_Squad_GN

Fatsquad Vol. 01 GN ($ 11.95. Creators: Josh Belanger & Rich Brunelle)

Description: For almost a decade they've torn up the internet with their edgy, inappropriate, and politically incorrect humor. Now the Fatsquad's antics are in print! This long-awaited first volume collects over 120 strips, taking the Fatsquad on new adventures of hilarity. It's a cast of overweight roommates, a living pillow, and a cloud of farts. Like their real-life counterparts, they constantly fight, and make fun of each other, challenge each other to eating contests, and argue the finer merits of comics, gaming, and film. Believe it or not, the basis for them is real!

>> Titan Publishing :

jane_HC

Jane: (Mis)adventures of a Bright Young Thing HC ($ 19.95. Creators: Don Freeman and Norman Pett.)
Description: These are the cartoon strip (mis)adventures of Britain's first and best-loved World War II pin-up - the, blue eyed, blond-haired, cartoon legend that is Lady Jane Gay! Originally run in the Daily Mirror from 1932 to 1959, Jane reached her peak of popularity during WWII when she became known as the Forces Girlfriend, her quintessentially British Carry On-style sauciness inspiring British Tommies everywhere. Even Sir Winston Churchill himself was said to be a fan! The ever-patriotic Jane wasted no time in joining up to keep the Nazis on the run, as a chauffeur, secretary and even in Army Intelligence! Jane's initial appearance scandalized America with its risqué content and nudity - which although extremely mild by today's standards was considered too daring and raunchy for American tastes of 1940s and early 50s and as a result Jane was heavily censored in the United States. The Jane newspaper strips will appeal to fans of the character and comics historians alike!

>> Viper Comics :

Attack_of_the_killer_tomatoes__2

Attack of the Killer Tomatoes #2 ($ 3.25. Creators: Dale Mettam & Erich Owen)

Description: Things look bleak for humanity as the Tomato onslaught continues. Even as Dixon searches for answers, his elite team are falling in battle. Worse still, someone seems intent on thwarting Dixon's plans to save the world. Who is the mysterious assassin? Is humanity doomed to fall before round, red overlords? And how did Puberty Love get to be a hit?

Sketch_Magazine__39

Sketch Magazine #39 ($ 6.95)

Description: This issue takes a look at comics illustrator Adam Hughes. From Catwoman and Wonder Woman to Star Wars and beyond, Adam has graced the industry with his beautiful illustrations, and Sketch takes a look at his art and the steps he takes to produce it. Sketch continues to satisfy with numerous how-to instructional from tried-and-true industry talent, and is packed with penciling, computer coloring, and marketing tips to help you become an artistic rising star. Great information, inspiration, and fun! (NOTE: Previously listed under Blue Line Art in the Comics sections.)
